To Mayor and City Council:

I am writing to express our support for the Fuller Seminary Amended Master Plan on behalf of Urban Initiatives. The amended boundaries of the Master Plan create valuable opportunities for the city to realize additional housing and economic growth while strengthening an internationally recognized local educational institution.

These opportunities are important in supporting the work of Urban Initiatives in addressing the economic, housing, social, and spiritual needs of the community.

Further, Fuller's plan to gradually release properties over time will allow for strategic growth aligned with city plans and policies. At the same time. Fuller's core campus will remain a vital part of the neighborhood incorporating student housing, quiet green space, and beautiful historic buildings. Maintaining this important institution and its historic campus, while planning for improvement to the neighborhood, is a win-win.

Sincerely,
Joe Colletti

Dear Councilmember,
I am writing to express my support for the Fuller Seminary Amended Master Plan on January 13. As an alumnus of Fuller Seminary, I endorse the new vision for the campus as an important blueprint for growth and realignment of the institution. The Landscape of graduate education has been evolving for more than a decade and I fully support Fuller's enthusiastic embrace of evolving models for program delivery, including a greater reliance on virtual learning and hybrid programming.

Further, the amended boundaries of the Master Plan create valuable opportunities for the city to realize additional housing and economic growth while strengthening an internationally recognized Local educational institution. Fuller's intention to gradually release properties over time will allow for strategic growth aligned with city plans and policies. At the same time, Fuller's core campus will remain a vital part of the neighborhood incorporating student housing, quiet green space and beautiful historic buildings. Maintaining this important institution and its historic campus, while planning for improvement to the neighborhood, is a win-win.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. I welcome the opportunity to talk about the exciting future for Fuller Seminary.

Dear Pasadena City Council Members,
The Board of Directors of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and Civic Association heard a presentation on the revised Fuller Seminary Master Plan at a recent meeting and were very impressed by the thought, consideration and vision for the future Fuller leadership expressed.

That foresight informs the revised Master Plan being presented by Fuller for approval by the City Council.

It addresses issues all of our higher education institutions are facing, especially remote learning and the diminished need for physical space that results.

Fuller would Like to shrink the footprint of the Master Plan to address their 21 sy=t Century space needs.

Moving some properties outside the Master Plan would allow the buildings to be used productively in ways that benefit Fuller and our community.

Fuller has been and will continue to be an important institution in Pasadena. It is important that the City of Pasadena approve their revised Master Plan.

The Board of Directors of the Pasadena Chamber strongly supports adoption of the Fuller Master Plan being presented to the City Council and respectfully requests your votes in support.

Please make this part of the record of public comment on the item.

Thankyou for your service to Pasadena and your constituents.

Sincerely,
Paul Little

Dear Pasadena City Council,
On behalf of the University Club of Pasadena, I am writing to express our strong and continued support for Fuller Seminary's Amended Master Plan. As a close neighbor and partner in Pasadena's vibrant community, we recognize the importance of this thoughtful and forward-looking plan, not only for Fuller but for the city as a whole.

The proposed amendments offer an exceptional opportunity to address key priorities for Pasadena, including the creation of much-needed housing and fostering sustainable economic development.

Fuller's well-considered strategy to gradually release properties ensures that this growth aligns with the city's long-term vision, allowing for a measured and deliberate approach that benefits all stakeholders.

Additionally, Fuller's commitment to preserving the integrity of its core campus—including its student housing, green spaces, and historic architecture—is a testament to its dedication to maintaining the cultural and aesthetic character of our shared neighborhood. These efforts help ensure that Fuller remains a thriving educational institution and a cornerstone of Pasadena's community life.

The University Club of Pasadena values our ongoing relationship with Fuller Seminary, and we took forward to deepening this partnership as we both work toward shared goals of growth, innovation, and service to the wider community. We respectfully urge the City Council to approve Fuller's Amended Master Plan, as it represents a balanced, thoughtful, and promising vision for the future of Pasadena.

Thankyou foryourtime and consideration.

Warm regards,
