To Whom It May Concern,
I’m deeply concerned by the alarming stance our federal government has taken in actively opposing renewable energy efforts, further accelerating the climate crisis at a time when bold action is most needed. As national policies move us backward, it is imperative that our city government steps up to lead at the local level. We need immediate and ambitious climate action to ensure our city transitions to 100% carbon-free electric power. In particular, strong local incentives for solar and battery storage are critical to empowering residents, increasing energy resilience, and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. The health of our community and the future of our planet depend on what we do now.
Respectfully,
Suzanne York
