LA County and City of Pasadena Recovery Collaboration
Distribution Sites
2 •Directly following the fires, LA County and City of Pasadena collaborated on various efforts to help our residents with needed resources:•Maintaining the shelter open•Opening of the Family Assistance Center and Disaster Recovery Center•Water Distributions site •PPE Distribution sites•Sandbag Distribution sites Recovery Taskforces •This collaboration has continued as the City of Pasadena participates in the various County-led taskforces that have cover subjects from Debris Removal to restoring our Cultural and Recreational Spaces. •Through these meeting spaces, the City of Pasadena has able to be in partnership in all areas of recovery with the various affected jurisdictions in the operational area.3 Recovery Taskforces •Debris Removal Taskforce•Recovery Joint Information System •Recovery Health & Social Services •Cultural & Natural Resources Taskforce•Assessing and Mitigating Environmental Health Taskforce •Watershed Taskforce •Housing Taskforce•LA County Price Gouging Joint Taskforce •Long-term Recovery Taskforce•DR4856 Individual Assistance Weekly Meeting 4 Recovery Taskforces •These taskforces have led to ongoing recovery resources and protective measures for our residents in the impacted areas.•Some of the most notable:>Data-driven mud and debris flow maps from LA County Department of Public Works that have informed our prepositioning and communications in the areas of risks. >The Joint Information Recovery Taskforce has allowed for partnerships that ensure that that all of LA County residents are receiving consistent messaging on recovery topics.>The Disaster Recovery Center has allowed for our residents to access information and resources in-person. 5 Recovery Taskforces •The taskforces have allowed for the City of Pasadena cover all areas of recovery with the adequate information and invaluable connections to ensure that our path to recovery continues forward. 6
