POSSIBLE ALTERNATE TENANT VACANCY AND APPOINTMENT
With the nomination and probable appointment of Christine Rodriguez to serve as the District 5 Tenant Member (Ms. Rodriguez currently serves as the Alternate Tenant Member on PRHB), an additional vacancy is likely to occur in the Alternate Tenant Member seat, whose term expires on May 24, 2027. The City Council may proceed with one of the following options:
Fill the vacancy as part of the current appointment process, selecting one of the remaining Tenant-eligible applicants to serve as the Alternate Tenant Member; or Delay making an appointment as part of the current process, declare the seat vacant, and conduct a separate vacancy appointment process in 90 days to fill the Alternate Tenant Member seat.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There are no new fiscal impacts related to these appointments that would affect the established costs associated with the Pasadena Rental Housing Board, the Rent Stabilization Department, and/or administering City Charter Article XVIII.
