Ed Tech members:
As council members attested yesterday, the Housing Department’s budget must be increased with general fund dollars or funds from the city’s operating
reserve,
emergency reserve of from the $10 million of extra revenue received in 2025.
This
is because the budget proposes 76% of its funding from the federal government and we already know that federal grant funding will be decreased under this administration.
Our unhoused cannot
bear the brunt of the federal
cuts.
We need a plan!
It is time to act.
