A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE Cinf OF PASADENA AUTHORIZING THE CITf MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE
AGREEMENTS, AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY, FOR THE
PROCUREMENT OF INSURANCE COVERAGE NECESSARY FOR CIT»f
OPERATIONS
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C\T\ OF PASADENA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, The City of Pasadena recognizes that maintaining comprehensive insurance coverage is essential to maintaining fiscal responsibility and safeguarding public assets against unforeseen liabilities and risks; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Pasadena to timely secure adequate insurance policies covering general liability, property damage, and other insurable risks associated with City operations; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager evaluates available insurance options and identifies policies that are necessary for efficient risk management and fiscal responsibility; and
WHEREAS, the timely acquisition and renewal of insurance coverage is essential to maintaining continuous protection and ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Pasadena to authorize the City Manager to negotiate and purchase insurance policies and to execute all related documents necessary to secure such coverage on behalf of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Cinr COUNCIL OF THE C\TY OF PASADENA:
1. The City Manager, is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate, execute, and deliver any and all contracts, documents, and instruments deemed necessary or appropriate to purchase insurance coverage for the City of Pasadena.
2. Such insurance shall include, but is not limited to, policies covering general liability, property damage, natural disaster risks, and any other insurance necessary to protect the governmental operations and public assets of the City of Pasadena. 1 Adopted at themeeting of the City Council on theday of _, 2025 by the following vote:r-
