Dear Committee Members,
I am a resident of Upper Hastings Ranch and am asking that the committee consider waiving or greatly reducing the plan check and permit fees for Pasadena residents who are rebuilding or remodeling their homes due to losses from the Eaton Fire.
As you know, our neighborhood in particular was greatly impacted by the fire.
Sadly, many
residents are considering selling their lots rather than rebuilding. In some cases this is due to the overall high cost of rebuilding, which includes these fees. We want our neighbors, who lost so much, to be able to return to the place they consider home as quickly and easily as possible. Therefore, I would ask the City of Pasadena to help support the rebuilding efforts and ease the path by waiving or greatly reducing the fees.
