City Clerk,
I’m writing about the PWP’s Optimized Strategic Plan (OSP) that is scheduled to be discussed at today’s MSC meeting.
The OSP is woefully inadequate for the following reasons:
1. This is called a plan, yet it is missing a timeline, deliverables, and evaluation metrics.
2. It should retain and strengthen the Net Energy Metering (NEM) instead of weakening it. This is a necessary and effective financial incentive for PWP customers to install solar panels. Without greatly increased rooftop solar, we can’t reach the carbon free future we must have.
3. It has been almost 2 ½ years since Resolution 9977 was passed unanimously. We need a concrete plan, not just a concept of a plan.
Thanks for your attention on this..
