The subject contract provides for the installation of new traffic signal equipment and fiberoptic communication upgrades at up to 35 intersections in Pasadena's core commercial area, including key corridors such as Orange Grove Boulevard, Colorado Boulevard, Green Street, and Holly Street, located south of the 1-210 Freeway. These corridors serve as critical connectors to major north-south arterials and regional freeway access points. The improvements will enable the City to develop more effective signal coordination plans that enhance traffic flow, reduce delays for roadway users, and provide tools to actively manage travel speeds.
