Good evening, City Council.
On the agenda this evening, item #14 is the resignation ofBrandon Lamarfromthe Pasadena Rental Housing Board. Mr. Lamar has served as an At Large member, the Vice Chairman and an Alternate Tenant Member of the Board since its inception in 2023.
I thank him for his commitment to the community and the Rental Housing Board. I know that holding public positions and commission appointments requires significant time, energy and intention. I hope all who know him recognize his efforts and work.
As a longtime follower of the Board and the travails of its Rental Stabilization Department, I hope the coming appointments by your council will reflect a pathway to a more balanced direction for this important component of our city government.
