Can anyone help with the hometessness crisis at PCC?
I amwritingto express concern about the environment around the Pasadena City College (PCC) library. A school should be a safe and clean place for students to study and spend time.
Recently, there have been several individuals experiencing homelessness staying in and around the PCC library area during the daytime, including on the lawn. This has raised concerns about hygiene, safety, and the overall learning environment for students and the public.
I want to be clearthatthis is not meant to criticize individuals experiencing homelessness. However, it is important that the City takes appropriate steps to ensure that public spaces—especiallythose associated with schools— remain safe, clean, and accessible for their intended use.
I respectfully ask the Cityto address this situation and provide appropriate solutions so that Pasadena can maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
