To whom this may concern,
I'm writing to you in sincere support of Pasadena's stated and partially-enacted goal to become carbon-free in the power it uses for its grid by 2030. The City Council unanimously adopted that goal back in 2023 and unanimously voted to approve the specific plan to achieve the goal — but it is continuously under attack from gradualists and climate deniers.

The terrible, unpresidented Altadena fires — the result of record heat (here and across the country — and globally) — are all sad proof of the manmade effects of ever-worsening carbon emissions. But in Pasadena, we can act positively by supporting the city's goat very proactively.

Please do all you can to aid in this very important continued work.

Most sincerely,
-Harman Smith
(resident of District 5)
