SUBJECT: ARBOLEDA DRTVE LANDMARK DISTRICT (LD-29)
Dear Mayor Gordo and Members of the City Council:
Pasadena Heritage is pleased to once again express our strong support for the designation of the Arboleda Drive Landmark District.
This distinctive collection of 12 Spanish Colonial Revival residences, designed by architect Myer Radon in 1929, remains remarkably intact and is an excellent example of Pasadena's Period Revival architecture.
All 12 properties are contributing resources, and the designation has the written support of all property owners.
We are also pleased that both the Historic Preservation Commission and Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval.
Pasadena Heritage wholeheartedly supports staffs recommendation and urges the City Council to approve the Arboleda Drive Landmark District designation and associated Landmark Overlay Zoning District.
