This is public comment for Item 4: Consideration of new day and time for the regular Legislative Policy Committee Meetings.
If you are interested in having public engagement and getting community input on items that come before the Committee, pick a day when Committee Members can actually attend and also schedule it for no earlier than 5:30 pm so that community members can more easily attend.
Congratulations on finally managing to hold the first Legislative Policy meeting in four months. The community and Council have missed four months to discuss and weigh in on important legislative matters. It is disappointing that it was posted as a Special Meeting with limited advance notice and and held at 4:00, which virtually guarantees very limited attendance or participation by members of the community.
