along the roadway centerline or follows irregular limits through an intersection or streetsegment. Resurfacing only the City-maintained portion would therefore result inimprovements terminating at these jurisdictionat boundaries, leaving portions of the same roadway unimproved and creating an inconsistent pavement surface.

To provide a more comprehensive and uniform pavement improvement for residents, and other roadway users, the City coordinated with LACDPW to jointly resurface thesestreets across their full width or to other appropriate limits. Through this collaborativeeffort, LACDPW agreed to fund its proportionate share of the resurfacing and ADA improvements. Pasadena will serve as the lead agency and will be responsible for the design and construction of the improvements within both jurisdictions. The identified street segments will subsequently be incorporated into the Annual Citywide StreetResurfacing and ADA Improvement FY 2027 (73951) project for coordinated delivery. This agreement addresses resurfacing approximately 2.8 miles of asphalt pavement.Additionally, the streets being resurfaced may receive the following improvements:
removal and reconstruction of damaged concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, curb ramps, driveway aprons, and cross gutters; adjustment of existing utility manholes; replacement of traffic signal loop detectors; installation of striping and raised pavement markers; andmiscellaneous appurtenant work.
