Can I please submit questions to Section G of the agenda under The General Public Comments section for tonight’s City Meeting?
First, As the owner of Three Speckled Hens Antique Show & Vintage Market, I would like to know why your vintage sidecar/antique treasure event was moved from the third weekend to the fourth weekend of April? Did you know this date change conflicted with our show at the Paso Robles Event Center? If you wanted to share the date because TSH event draws antique enthusiasts from outside of the area, why did you not reach out for collaboration? We would love the opportunity to work with our city. -This date conflict affected our attendance dramatically. We experienced a 50% decline in attendees on Saturday April 27th.

On another note, Why are local businesses not able to hang banners over spring Street? Can we pay a fee to the city for this option?
In conclusion, I would like to state Three Speckled Hens brought in close to 70 small businesses to be vendors to your city.

These business people and their families shopped in your stores, ate at your restaurants and slept in your hotels.

They rely on the local shoppers to make their trip financially successful.

Your Vintage sidecar event competed directly with their businesses at the PR Event Center. How are they expected to compete with a free to the public event when we have to charge an admission fee for attendance? Last, are there any resources that the city of Paso Robles can offer our small businesses to succeed in this competitive atmosphere?
Respectfully submitted,
Kimber Black
