Please enter these into public comments for the Oct 7th meeting of the city council. Thanks Mayor Hamon:

Let's do have a conversation about who is responsible for wasting taxpayer money. Again, like the accusations about who was responsible for the parking debacle, the nefarious conspiracy and who was at fault for the legal expenses incurred over CPRA requests, you continually say things that have no factual basis. In my short period of time working on city council issues below is a listing of all the ways I have seen you waste taxpayer money. Chris Bausch on the other hand has a proven record of fighting waste and his efforts led to a grand jury investigation of the school district. Perhaps that is why you are so opposed to Mr. Bausch.

What would a Grand Jury investigation reveal about you? The decision to change the FBO at the airport cost the local economy $2 to $8 million per year (depending on the multiplier) and loss of potential sales tax that could have been used to fix roads
Loss to the General Fund of $600,000 due to failed parking programs. The money was a loan that had to be written off.

Voting against asking BBK to reimburse the City $1,000,000 for the bad legal advice Hundreds of thousands of dollars paid to Dixon Resources for parking consulting and the money spent to parking software vendors
Potentially liable for the all the parking fees and citations over a five year period Lost revenue to the downtown due to locals not shopping and tourists not returning because of parking citations.

Salary of the parking ambassador and anyone involved in parking enforcement Legal fees associated with the parking program and the referendum Loss of sales tax revenue from people refusing to shop in Paso Robles because of bad roads Hiring a homeless coordinator for $200,000 despite the fact that taxpayers have spent billions of dollars only to see the situation get worse
Settlement with former city manager for hundreds of thousands $100,000s of thousands of dollars spent on legal fees because Mayor Hamon falsely accused people of a conspiracy

$100,000s of thousands of dollars in legal fees and settlement payment because the city was forced to turn over the executive summary of the Reiner Report and the cost of the Reiner Report itself
Potentially endangering the use of Measure I funds going to roads because Mayor Hamon along with a majority of the council decided to put the money into the General Fund Furthermore there are claims that the fight over water and water policies have cost taxpayers millions of dollars
So let's talk about who is responsible for harming the local economy, causing loss of sales tax revenue and who is the better steward of the taxpayers money. That's a discussion worth having. I'm glad you brought it up because in the next election it is going to be an issue.

Maybe you are the one who needs to be censured, stripped of committee assignments, recalled etc.

Also I would like to remind you that you are the one who brought up the code of ethics in your editorial and it clearly says you are not to attack, demean and use your office to conduct a personal vendetta. You were extremely uncivil, spoke based on your personal grudge and completely were disrespectful. You've completely ignored this:

CODE OF ETHICS PREAMBLE
The residents and businesses of Paso Robles are entitled to have fair, ethical, and accountable local government. Such a government requires that:► Public officials comply with both the letter and spirit of the laws and policies affecting operations of the government;► Public officials be independent, impartial, and fair in their judgment and actions;► Public office be used for the public good, not for personal gain; and► Public deliberations and processes be conducted openly, unless legally confidential, in an atmosphere of respect and civility.

Also I still expect you to retract your ridiculous, idiotic and just plain stupid claim of a nefarious conspiracy. The Tribune wasted a lot of time and money on this issue and found nothing.

Anyway, if you want to make a campaign issue out of wasting money I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Also, I cannot believe that three other members of the council sit there and say nothing while you continue to run the city into the ground and prolong the mess over your malicious and defamatory claims of a conspiracy. It only makes me wonder what sort of corruption you might be involved in to want to conduct this personal vendetta.
