ITEM NO: 5.6
SUBJECT: Approval of 5-Year Uniform Services Contract Extension with Aramark Uniform Services, starting July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of 5-Year Uniform Services Contract Extension with Aramark Uniform Services, starting July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027.
BACKGROUND
The City of Patterson has been in 5-year contract with Aramark Uniform Services since July 1, 2016, with an expiration of June 30, 2021. Under this contract an option to renew for an additional one (1) year period for a total maximum term of six (6) years unless the parties mutually agreed to terminate the agreement sooner.
Under this contract, Aramark Uniform Services provides uniform services weekly for all qualified City Employees. Service has been consistently of good quality. By negotiating with Aramark and extending the contract, the City is able to get a longer term at competitive pricing without the upheaval and hassle of changing uniform vendors.
ANALYSIS
Due to recent economic changes and increase in materials and labor rates, it is the recommendation of staff that Council extend the contract under the current negotiated rates.
These rates would increase each year by CPI or the amount Aramark would raise them, whichever is lower.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact. The amounts for this contract are budgeted annually.
