PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Sperry Ave interchange at Interstate-5 is located at the west outer limits of Patterson, between the Westly and Crows Landing interchanges. This project proposes to upgrade the Sperry Ave/I-5 Interchange with the following improvements:
• Widen Sperry Avenue from 2-lanes to 4-lanes
• Widen and reconstruct the existing on- and off-ramps
• Install complete Traffic Signalization and Lighting for the interchange • Install Retaining Walls of both sides of Sperry Avenue under I-5 • Widen the bridge over the California Aqueduct to accommodate 4-lanes • Culvert extension and modifications to the Black Gulch Creek SPERRY AVE/I-5 INTERCHANGE

• The Project Approval & Environmental Document (PA&ED) phase was completed in early part of 2020
• The Final Project Report for Project Approval of the Sperry Avenue/I-5 Interchange was approved on September 22, 2020

• The City received proposals for the PS&E phase from two consulting firms in April 2022

• The City will anticipate to Bid the Sperry Ave/I-5 Interchange project for Construction in Spring 2024

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
• Staff recommends approval of NCM Engineering’s proposal for the Sperry Ave/I-5 Interchange project and authorize Staff to enter into a negotiated Consultant Agreement with NCM Engineering for the Phase 1 Design not to exceed $976,327.55. • Phase 2 Design in the amount of $1,593,652.45 will be presented to City Council for approval at a future date.
