ITEM NO: 5.8

Las Palmas Avenue (APN# 021-070-002) for Installation of Electric Vehicle Recharging Stations.

RECOMMENDATION
Motion to Approve Resolution No. 2022- 56 Approving 5-Year License Agreement between the City of Patterson (City) and Turlock Irrigation District (TID) for the Use and Occupy a Portion of the City Facility Located at 1033 W. Las Palmas Avenue (APN# 021-070-002) for Installation of Electric Vehicle Recharging Stations.

BACKGROUND
Turlock Irrigation District received grant funds to install electric vehicle recharging stations and has been in discussions with the City to identify locations for the installation of these stations in Patterson. Several locations were analyzed and TID has identified that the best location would be at the Community Complex parking lot located at 1033 W. Las Palmas Avenue.

Terms and conditions are described in the agreement. The facilities would be available for public use and TID would be responsible for all ongoing maintenance and repairs. The cost to the public would be similar to what other public EV charging stations charge at other city facilities, but rates ultimately set by TID. Signage and striping would be installed to identify these facilities.

ANALYSIS
Attached for review and approval is the License Agreement that has been prepared by Turlock Irrigation District (TID) and reviewed by staff and the City Attorney. If approved, staff would continue working with TID to complete and install the EV charging stations at this location. The EV Charging stations will be owned and maintained by TID.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item. All costs are paid for by TID (covered by grant).
