3 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PATTERSON, 5 APPROVING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) 6 PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. F037 SPERRY AVENUE: FROM 7 AMERICAN EAGLE AVENUE TO WARD AVENUE OVERLAY, PHASE 2 PROJECT, 8 FEDERAL PROJECT NUMBER STPL-5244(041), AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY 9 MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT AND ALL FUTURE DOCUMENTS FOR 10 THIS PROJECT ON THE CITY’S BEHALF
11 WHEREAS, the City of Patterson has been approved to receive $534,361 of 12 funding through the Surface Transportation Block Grant Program (STBGP) for the Sperry 13 Avenue: from American Eagle Avenue to Ward Avenue Overlay, Phase 2 Project. 14 WHEREAS, this new roadway surface is a part of a continuing effort to maintain 15 and improve roadway safety within the City of Patterson ; and 16 WHEREAS, in order to receive funds from Caltrans, the City Council must 17 authorize an official to execute a Program Supplemental Agreement. This agreement 18 sets forth the requirements for use of the Federal funds. Caltrans requires that this type 19 of agreement be executed for each project by the agency receiving the funds; and 20 WHEREAS, once the agreement is signed, Caltrans will issue an “Authorization 21 to Proceed” which allows the City to proceed with the work for the project. 22 WHEREAS, this item does not carry any fiscal impacts with it. The total federal 23 funding for the project is $534,361. Each phase of work will be brought before the 24 Council at a later date with a clear financial breakdown and request for contract 25 approval.
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of 27 Patterson does hereby:
28 1. Approve the State Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Program Supplemental 29 Agreement No. F037 for the Sperry Avenue: from American Eagle Avenue to Ward 30 Avenue Overlay, Phase 2 Project.
31 2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement, conduct all negotiations, 32 execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications, 2 1 agreements, reports, insurance, payment requests and so on, which may be 2 necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project on behalf of the City. 3 The foregoing resolution was passed by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 20th 4 day of September 2022, by _______________ who 5 moved its adoption, which motion was duly seconded by ________________, and 6 the resolution adopted by the following roll call vote:
