Intent Meeting – Consider Resolution of Intention, including Boundary Map/Rate and Method of Apportionment and setting the date of the Public Hearing October 19, 2022
City Clerk arranges for publication of the Hearing Notice in the local adjudicated newspaper at least 7 days prior to Public Hearing
November 2, 2022 Boundary Map must be recorded on or before this date November 7, 2022
NBS distributes draft Special Tax Report
Jones Hall distributes Resolutions and Ordinance
November 21, 2022 Comments due on all documents distributed to date November 28, 2022 Final Resolutions, Special Tax Report and CFD Ordinance due to City Clerk December 6, 2022
Public Hearing – City Council allows any public comments either oral or written.
City Council determines whether there has been a majority protest or not, then considers Resolution of Formation calling a Special Election Election – City Clerk canvasses the Ballots, informs the City Council that the Question of levying the tax is approved, City Council considers the Resolution Declaring the Results of the Election and the first reading of the Ordinance Levying the Special Tax
December 20, 2022 Ordinance Meeting – Second Reading of Ordinance Levying the Special Tax January 4, 2022 Notice of Special Tax Lien must be recorded on or before this date
