Please consider my application for a seat opening on the City of Patterson's Planning Commission. I have experience in instituting guidelines and stakeholder outreach during my time at the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the California Energy Commission (CEC).
At SACOG, I collected and reviewed data from other state transit agencies for the Regional Bike & Pedestrian Funding Program grant, which secured $500k in funding. I prepared briefings to inform senior management with recommendations on which bicycle and pedestrian counter technologies to acquire.
At Caltrans, I coordinated the policy advisory committee for the California Transportation Plan 2040 (CTP) to collaborate with internal and extemal stakeholders to help guide statewide policies. I conducted public workshops for the CTP to solicit information required to develop reports and regulations. I assisted in the development of the Caltrans Vulnerability Assessment Reports by performing technical evaluations of climate change impacts.
At CEC, I have worked on the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) Online System certifring renewable energy technologies in order for them attain renewable energy credits. I supported the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Programs enforcement efforts through investigating suspected non-compliant building permits. Currently, I work on implementing the Demand Side Grid Support (DSGS) Program by developing tools to process incentives being offered to electric customers providing load reduction and back up generation during extreme heat events.
The opportunity to display my experience in transportation and city planning as well as program implementation excites and motivates me to come to work every day.
