RECOMMENDATION
Motion to Adopt Resolution No. 2023-39 to Authorize the City Manager or Department Head of the City Patterson into a Lease Agreement with PNC for the Purchase of Fire Trucks, and to Receive Reimbursement of the Original Payment(s).
BACKGROUND
On June 4, 2023, Council approved the purchase of two fire trucks from Golden State Fire Apparatus.
ANALYSIS
The City of Patterson Fire Department holds public safety as its number one priority. By entering into this agreement, the reliability of responding fire apparatus increases dramatically by having the latest technology, warranty, service, and proprietary parts that Pierce Manufacturing offers.
This agreement also produces a high level of morale with personnel and also has recruitment traits for potential firefighters of the City of Patterson.
FISCAL IMPACT
The City will be reimbursed the original purchase price of $1,627,156.90 and the first lease payment of $193,488.38 is included in the FY 23/24 budget.
