Just wait until it actually has to get done
They are just creating a PLAN that we would then follow. 21:31:32 From Kandace’s iPhone to Everyone:
file:///V/meeting_saved_chat%208-29-23.txt[9/8/2023 11:48:55 AM] The downtown revitalization committee gave feedback in meetings with community input and it seems as though it feel on deaf ears.
21:32:20 From Angela B to Everyone:
A traffic study is needed for sure
21:32:33 From Kurtis B. to Everyone:
Their plan is to go through with their own ideas and not get input from the public. They clearly didn’t listen with prior meetings, what makes you think they’re going to listen to this one? They’re going to go ahead with their own idea because they’ve already got the funds for it. All you need now is to implement gentrification and it’ll end up like Sacramento.

There is no funding yet : this is only a PLAN
The next, next steps would be moving into a quote/bid for work and working it into the city budget 21:36:20 From Kurtis B. to Everyone:
Right, but they aren’t taking in notes that call for changes to the plan/ 21:36:32 From Angela B to Everyone:
We could forget the bicycles, imo
21:36:39 From Kandace’s iPhone to Everyone:
I was hopeful that this would be a productive meeting so I’m disappointed they didn’t seem to take any of the feedback. One the last meetings for downtown revitalization, they discussed this traffic and parking situation and the consensus was to not taking parking away so why is that even still an option? 21:37:18 From Kandace’s iPhone to Everyone:

That is a good question to toss to city council. What are they doing to help with seeding these properties with new businesses.
21:44:16 From Kurtis B. to Everyone:
What’s the point of having downtown accessibility when there’s nothing for people to access? 21:44:18 From Kandace’s iPhone to Everyone:

Don’t even get me started on the new “public safety center” taking up prime real estate downtown in the near future.
