A PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PATTERSON HONORING
ROBERT ANDRADE
ON HIS RETIREMENT AND HIS DEDICATED 32-YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF PATTERSON
WHEREAS, Robert Andrade, Public Works Deputy Director of Operations & Maintenance, retires on November 15, 2023, after completing outstanding service to the City of Patterson since 1991; and WHEREAS, Robert Andrade, held several positions in the Public Works Department from September 17, 1991, to November 15, 2023; and
WHEREAS Robert Andrade began his career on September 17, 1991, with the City of Patterson as a part-time Maintenance Worker I in the Public Works Department and September 11, 1993, he became full-time employee and continued his career with the city; and WHEREAS Robert Andrade was promoted to Public Works Supervisor on May 1, 2005, and on January 1, 2007, was promoted to Public Works Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance; and WHEREAS, Robert Andrade, during his years of service made many lasting contributions to the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Robert provided excellent leadership and service to the City of Patterson, including the implementation of the City’s successful Cross-Connection Program, served as Chairman of the City’s Safety Committee for over a decade, and managed all operations and maintenance divisions (Urban Forestry, Collections, Water, Streets, Fleet Services, Electrical & Instrumentation, Buildings, and Parks) of the Public Works Department as Deputy Director. Robert has worked endless hours to ensure that the community of Patterson had safe water, clean and well-maintained streets and parks and contributed to the quality of life for the Patterson community; and
WHEREAS, Robert Andrade, earned the respect of all staff and colleagues at the City of Patterson for his dedication, professionalism, leadership, and hard work; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Patterson does hereby take immense pleasure in recognizing the significant professional achievements of Robert Andrade, and herewith expresses its sincere gratitude for the invaluable contributions he has made to the City of Patterson.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Michael Clauzel, Mayor of the City of Patterson, do hereby honor Robert Andrade for his retirement and hereby express the City’s deepest appreciation to Robert Andrade for his outstanding and dedicated 32-years of service to the City of Patterson.
