RECOMMENDATION
Motion to Adopt Resolution No. 2024-08, confirming a report and assessment list under Ordinance No. 704 and 243, for weed abatements (Lien Process)
BACKGROUND
During the course of the year, Council approved Resolutions authorizing the city to abate weed at various locations. Many property owners either complied with the order or reimbursed the City for the work done. The City has not received payment from 1 property owner (see Exhibit A). Staff is requesting authorization from Council to have a lien placed on each property.
Authority to do so is granted in the City Municipal Code and by State Law. Upon Council approval, the necessary information will be forwarded to the County Recorder’s Office.
FISCAL IMPACT
The balance of the unpaid reimbursements is $756.00.
