Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program
 A new Phase II Stormwater Permit is in progress at the State level. Once it is adopted, it will be implemented. The city must comply with everything that is in the current permit. It is anticipated that the new permit will be implemented in 2024. Under this new permit, the school districts will be brought in and will be required to have their own stormwater programs. The new permit has not yet been released. (Last Update: October 2023).  The City awarded the design contract to Stantec Engineering for the design of the City’s trash capturing system. The System will consist of trash capturing devices and improvements at the Olive Avenue regional basin and Salado Creek.
