RECOMMENDATION
Motion to Approve Resolution No. 2024-13, Accepting as complete the Water Quality Control Facility Administration Building (WQCF) Project, located at 14901 Poplar Avenue, Patterson, CA 95363, Authorizing Staff to File the Notice of Completion and Commence the One-Year Warranty Period.
BACKGROUND
This project consisted of a new, LEED Certified, 3,270 square foot, ground-up one-story wood framed Administration Building with a laboratory, offices, restrooms, lockers, parking (covered and uncovered), security gates and fencing, and landscaping. The design was completed in July 2020 and was subsequently advertised for construction. This project was first advertised for construction in the summer of 2020. The bids were taken to City Council and rejected based on the cost of the project. The City readvertised for a second time in March 2021. Unfortunately, the two bids received were deemed as non-responsive by the State due to the bid proposal paperwork that was submitted. These bids were also taken to City Council and subsequently rejected.
This Project was advertised for a third time in December 2021 and awarded to Bobo Construction, Inc., on March 15th of 2022.
ANALYSIS
The City received a request from the Contractor, Bobo Construction, Inc., to be placed on the City Council agenda for acceptance of the Water Quality Control Facility Administration Building (WQCF) Project, located at 14901 Poplar Avenue, Patterson, CA 95363. City personnel including members of Engineering and Public Works, as well as the Contractor, have conducted a final inspection and the project is ready for Council acceptance.
The total cost for construction was $3,053,962.50
