RESOLUTION No. 2024-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PATTERSON OF CONCURRENCE AND
SUPPORT OF THE STANISLAUS URBAN COUNTY AND STANISLAUS HOME CONSORTIUM FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Stanislaus Urban County Consortium which includes the cities of Oakdale, Hughson, Newman, Patterson, Ceres, Waterford, Riverbank and unincorporated areas of Stanislaus County has been granted an estimated total allocation based on Fiscal Year 2024-2025 funding of $2,543,347 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds and,
WHEREAS the City of Patterson chooses to participate in the entitlement process thereby receiving a portion of the CDBG entitlements in partnership with the County and participating jurisdictions; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Patterson chooses to participate in the Stanislaus HOME Consortium and participate in the Consortium selection process for HOME funds as detailed in the 3-year cooperation agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Patterson’s allocation of CDBG funds is $181,638 ($176,638 for project delivery and $5,000 for project administration); and, WHEREAS, the City of Patterson’s allocation of HOME funds is $133,355.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Patterson as follows:
1. The City Council hereby adopts a resolution of concurrence and support of the Stanislaus Urban County Consortium to prepare an AAP for Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
2. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into any required negotiations with any entity or agency, public or private, for the purpose of which is to ensure the use of CDBG and HOME grant money in compliance with HUD guidelines and regulations.
