SUBJECT: Adopt Resolution No. 2024-24, to Accept and Appropriate the Budget for a Grant Award from the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) for the Beverage Grant Program in the Amount of $6,441 in FY 2023-24.
RECOMMENDATION
Motion to Adopt Resolution No. 2024-24, to accept and appropriate the Budget for a grant award from the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) for the Beverage Grant Program in the amount of $6,441 in FY 2023-24.
BACKGROUND
In January 2024, City Staff submitted a grant application to CalRecycle for the Beverage Grant Program in the amount of $6,441. CalRecycle authorized payment, making funds eligible to procure grant fund materials and labor beginning On April 15, 2024. The state’s grant helps to fund the City’s recycling and environmental programs.
ANALYSIS
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a resolution to accept the grant revenue and approve the modification of the department budget for this purpose.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact to the City General Fund from accepting the grant and approving the use of funds. The grant revenue of $6,441 will be appropriated in the City of Patterson FY 2023- 24 Budget, Garbage Fund 600, for eligible costs.
