RESOLUTION NO. 2024-23
A RESOLUTION OF TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PATTERSON,
TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE THE BUDGET FOR A GRANT AWARD FROM
THE DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES RECYCLING AND RECOVERY
(CALRECYCLE) FOR THE SB1383 LOCAL ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $75,000 IN FY 2023-24
WHEREAS, in November 2023, City Staff submitted a grant application to CalRecycle for the SB1383 Local Assistance Grant Program in the amount of $75,000 in FY 2023-24, and; WHEREAS, in February 2024, CalRecycle approved an award for the total amount of $75,000.
The state’s grant helps to fund the City’s solid waste, recycling, and environmental programs, and;
WHEREAS, the Council Authorizes the Finance Department to make the necessary budget adjustments for Fiscal Year 2023-24 and all subsequent budgets, and; WHEREAS, the City of Patterson will commit to use the grant funds only as approved by the granting agency.
NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Patterson will collaborate with Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) for participation in their SB1383 Local Assistance Grant Program to fund the City’s solid waste, recycling, and environmental programs.
The foregoing resolution of the City Council of the City of Patterson was passed by the City Council at a special meeting held on the 7th day of May 2024, by ______________, who moved its adoption, which motion was duly seconded by _______________, and the resolution adopted by the following roll call vote:
