SUBJECT: Adopt Resolution No. 2024-34 to Accept grant funds in the amount of $10,000 for the Adventure Pass Program from Parks California, and Authorize the Finance Department to make the necessary budget adjustments.
RECOMMENDATION
Motion to Adopt Resolution 2024-34 to Accept grant funds in the amount of $10,000 for the Adventure Pass Program from Parks California, and Authorize the Finance Department to make the necessary budget adjustments.
BACKGROUND
The Recreation and Community Services Department has received a $10,000 grant from Parks California. The purpose of this grant is to highlight the Adventure Pass program that provides free entrance into State Parks for 4th graders and their families.
ANALYSIS
This grant will provide tabling and activities at community events, outdoor adventure supplies, and a family day trip to Millerton State Park for a 4th grader and their guardian.
FISCAL IMPACT
All eligible expenditures will be covered by the grant, leaving a zero net impact to the city's finances.
