LOVE STANISLAUS COUNTY
CITY CHARTER AGREEMENT
2025
Love Stanislaus County (LSC) is a faith-based organization that exists for the building up of individuals and cities throughout Stanislaus county in order to maximize our impact on our community and demonstrate LOVE through the annual volunteer day and year-around initiatives. Love Stanislaus County recognizes the value of building the capacity of individual city networks in order to meet the needs of neighbors within their own communities and support the long term impacts that are possible through year- round initiatives. In order to support the many city networks within our county and promote longevity and unity within the Love Our Cities affiliates in our county, Love Stanislaus County has created this charter agreement which allows cities to do business as Love Stanislaus County, and operate under their name without having to pursue their own non-profit status or acquire insurance.
The following requirements are put into place to protect Love Stanislaus County and any cities who do business as Love Stanislaus County (DBA). By adhering to these requirements, Love Patterson within Stanislaus County may operate under the Love Stanislaus County's 501(c)(3) status and insurance. Failing to fulfill these requirements puts Love Stanislaus County and affiliated cities at risk, and may cause a city's charter to be revoked or denied.
What is the role of Love Stanislaus County?
Ensure all city organizations adhere to the vision, mission, and values of LSC • Ensure all city organizations adhere to all federal, state and local laws, codes, policies, ordinances, and procedures
• Ensure all cities are compliant regarding branding and marketing of LSC • Ensure all cities fiscal transactions are legal and to intervene when there is a question about fiscal responsibility or legality

• Approve city's overall funds or spending
• Approve city's events and activities plans
• To require a percentage of funds raised by cities
• To be responsible for any of the day-to-day operations of any city organizations • To oversee, interfere, or require approval for volunteer day activities - the only expectation being if they violate any federal, state, or local laws or the vision, or the mission or values of Love Stanislaus County
