THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS PROJECT
u The WQCF Phase 3A Expansion increases the overall treated design flow capacity and maintains the effluent quality.
u To meet the future increased flow requirements and higher quality effluent, upgrades are being made to both the primary, secondary filtration and disinfection treatment processes of the existing WQCF.
u The WQCF consists of three separate processes: The North Activated Sludge Treatment System (NASTS), the Advanced Integrated Pond System (AIPS), and the South Activated Sludge Treatment System (SASTS). The key objective of the planned improvements for the WQCF is to elevate the treatment capacity of all three treatment systems.
u Without this vital project, the City cannot accommodate new growth.
