2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PATTERSON 4 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
5 FOUR-YEAR AGRICULTURAL LEASE AGREEMENT WITH A
6 ONE-YEAR EXTENSION, WITH KATEALYNN CADENA AND 5C GENETICS 7 FOR THE ORANGE AVENUE AND FIRST STREET PROPERTIES
8 9 WHEREAS, the land, known as Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 048-008-057; 048-008-004; and 10 048-008-036, more particularly described in Exhibit A to the Agreement, attached hereto, was 11 purchased by the City for the future water treatment plant project; and 12 13 WHEREAS, in November 2024, City staff solicited proposals from regional agricultural 14 companies and received no proposals. Staff later solicited interest from prior lessees and received 15 a response for the Orange Avenue and First Street properties from Katealynn Cadena and 5C 16 Genetics for the purposes of farming row and field crops; and 17 18 WHEREAS, by leasing the properties, the City will generate annual revenue in the amount of 19 $950 and revenues are deposited in the Water Fund; and 20 21 WHEREAS, staff recommends authorizing the City Manager to execute a four-year agricultural 22 lease agreement with a one-year extension, with Katealynn Cadena and 5C Genetics for the 23 Orange Avenue and First Street properties.
24 25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the City Council of the City of Patterson 26 authorizes the City Manager to execute a four-year agricultural lease agreement with a one-year 27 extension, with Katealynn Cadena and 5C Genetics for the Orange Avenue and First Street 28 properties.
29 30 The foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the 31 City of Patterson held on the 15th day of April 2025, by ______________, who moved its 32 adoption, which motion was duly seconded by __________________, and it was upon roll call 33 carried and the resolution adopted by the following roll call vote:
