RECOMMENDATION
Motion to Approve one of the two different prototype sign design options that will serve as a base for the City of Patterson’s Wayfinding Sign Program, and authorize staff to proceed with the award of a Small Value Contract for the fabrication of the prototype signs to Third Floor North.
BACKGROUND
This Project consists of fabricating two prototype signs, one ±17-foot and one ±14-foot sign, to be installed by City Staff. The prototype signs will serve as a base for the City of Patterson’s Wayfinding sign Program. Proposed locations are as follows: the larger sign will be installed at the intersection of Ward and Las Palmas Avenues, and the smaller sign at Las Palmas Avenue and 9th Street.
ANALYSIS
This project went out to bid through the City of Patterson’s informal bid process and was sent to a list of sign fabricators that was provided by the designer, offering two options- an original design, and a more decorative alternate design. The City only received one bid; the bid was received from Third Floor North.
The costs are as follows:
Design Intent $16,887.79
Bid Alternate $27,701.12
