We would like to host our annual Festa do Divine Espirito Santo on June 28-29, 2025.
As you know our Portuguese Community has been hosting this event for 108 years, in the City of Patterson. It's a Portuguese religious tradition that continues to give to the community.
Saturday, we have a Bode de Leite (Ox & animal parade). We do ask to use the street. We do provide security to close the street for a short time (Marshall Patrol Security).
Sunday, we have our visiting town queens come to Patterson to march with our queens. We march from the hall to Sacred Heart Church on I St. After, the mass queens return to the hall.
We do provide security to close the street for a short time (Marshall Patrol Security).
Marshall Patrol Security does provide street closure signs and security for that event with need of public streets. Patterson FDES can put up signs two weeks before events to let City of Patterson know of street closure.
These are the only times that the streets are needed. The event is open to the public. Anyone can come to the event. We do provide Portuguese beef stew on Saturday and Portuguese sopas on Sunday (see attached program and diagram of street closure).

501 Ward Ave to N. Salado Ave to Sacred Heart Church at 529 St. stops for 30 mins to bless all the animals then continues I St to N. 6th St to N. Salado Ave towards F.D.E.S. Hall at 501 Ward Ave.
That will conclude use of the street on Saturday. I have contracted the City of Patterson for the street sweeper for after event.
Sunday: Juu 29, 2025
Church Parade - starting @ .10 jam
501 Ward Ave to N. Salado Ave to 529 | St stopping for Mass 11-12:15pm (no street closure necessary). Parade will continue from 529 | St to N. 6ih St to N. Salado Ave towards F.D.E.S. hall at 501 Ward Ave.
That will conclude use of the street on Sunday.
