A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PATTERSON,
APPROVING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. F040 LAS PALMAS SAFETY CORRIDOR: FROM 9
TH AVE TO SR33 AND 6TH ST TO F ST FEDERAL PROJECT
NUMBER CRPL-5244(049), AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE AGREEMENT AND ALL FUTURE DOCUMENTS FOR THIS PROJECT ON THE CITY’S BEHALF
WHEREAS, the City of Patterson has been approved to receive $194,000 of funding through the Local Carbon Reduction Program (CRPL) for the Las Palmas Avenue Safety Corridor Project: from 9th Ave to SR33 and 6th St to F St.
WHEREAS, this new corridor is a part of a continuing effort to improve pedestrian safety and reduce transportation CO2 emissions within the City of Patterson; and WHEREAS, in order to receive funds from Caltrans, the City Council must authorize an official to execute a Program Supplemental Agreement. This agreement sets forth the requirements for use of the Federal funds. Caltrans requires that this type of agreement be executed for each project by the agency receiving the funds; and WHEREAS, once the agreement is signed, Caltrans will issue an “Authorization to Proceed” which allows the City to proceed with the work for the project.
WHEREAS, this item does not carry any fiscal impacts with it. The total federal funding for the project is $194,000. Each phase of work will be brought before the Council at a later date with a clear financial breakdown and request for contract approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Patterson does hereby:
Approve the State Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Program Supplemental Agreement No. F040 for the Las Palmas Avenue Safety Corridor Project: from 9th Ave to SR33 and 6th St to F St.
1. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement, conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications, agreements, reports, insurance, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project on behalf of the City.
The foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Patterson held on the 15th day of July 2025, by ______________, who moved its adoption, which motion was duly seconded by __________________, and it was upon roll call carried and the resolution adopted by the following roll call vote:
