RESOLUTION NO. 2025-52
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PATTERSON,
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF INDIVIDUAL GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING THROUGH THE STANISLAUS COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (StanCOG)
UNDER THE CONGESTION MITIGATION AND AIR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT (CMAQ) PROGRAM AND THE SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BLOCK GRANT (STBG) PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Stainless Council of Governments (StanCOG) administers grants that support the region’s long-term transportation plan. The Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Grant (CMAQ) funds transportation projects and related initiatives that help reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality. The Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) provides a variety of funding sources to projects that enhance the regional transportation system WHEREAS, the City of Patterson recognizes the importance of reliable and wellmaintained infrastructure for the safety, mobility, and overall well-being of its residents; and WHEREAS, roadways in the City are in critical need of rehabilitation and upgrades to meet current safety and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards; and WHEREAS, the City seeks to enhance its infrastructure through improvements that support emergency response operations, public safety, and efficient transportation; and WHEREAS, that the City Council of the City of Patterson authorizes the submittal of applications to StanCOG for the CMAQ and the STBG call for projects; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized and empowered to apply for grant funding under the CMAQ and STBG programs through StanCOG for eligible infrastructure and mobility improvement projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, The foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Patterson held on the 19th day of August 2025, by ______________, who moved its adoption, which motion was duly seconded by __________________, and it was upon roll call carried and the resolution adopted by the following roll call vote:
