1. CALL TO ORDER: 6:30 P.M.
Mayor Vargas called the Special Joint City Council meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:

Absent: Corona
Staff Member's Present: City Manager Miramontes, Assistant City Manager Bugtai, Assistant City Manager Reyna, Assistant City Attorney Jones, Director of Finance Schenk, Director of Administrative Services Amozgar, Assistant City Clerk Haughney and City Clerk Salazar.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Councilmember Nava led the Pledge of Allegiance.
4. BUSINESS ITEMS:

Adopted Resolution Number 6803 certifying the Election Results for the June 2, 2026, Special Municipal Election.
Resolution Number 6803 is entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PERRIS, COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACTS OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON JUNE 2, 2026, DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF AS TO A CITY MEASURE SUBMITTED AT SUCH ELECTION, DECLARING THE ORDINANCE SUBMITTED TO THE VOTERS AS MEASURE B APPROVED, ADOPTED, AND RATIFIED BY THE VOTERS, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION, CERTIFICATION, AND CODIFICATION OF THE ORDINANCE, AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW This item was introduced and presented by City Clerk Nancy Salazar.

Adopted Resolution Number 6804 authorizing execution of an agreement with the California Department of Fee and Tax Administration (CDTFA) for the administration of the City’s Transactions and Use Tax.
Resolution Number 6804 is entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PERRIS, COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TAX AND FEE ADMINISTRATION FOR PREPARATION, ADMINISTRATION, AND OPERATION OF THE CITY’S TRANSACTIONS AND USE TAX Assistant City Manager Ernie Reyna introduced and presented on this item.
