Recommendation
• Introduce the attached ordinance Approving the Easement Dedication at the Riverfront Development for the Caulfield Extension located at 0 Bautista Way, APN: 136-690-012
Why we are here.
• Condition of Approval #57 for the Riverfront Subdivision (Resolution No. 2024-127 N.C.S.) requires the dedication of right-of-way for the future Caulfield Lane Southern Crossing as part of the approved tentative map. • Under Section 46 of the Petaluma City Charter, any acquisition or disposition of real property valued at $3,000 or more must be authorized by ordinance.
• City staff has reviewed the proposed easement dedication and survey exhibits and determined they meet all requirements necessary for City Council approval and acquisition of the easement.

• The easement is being secured to preserve the option for a future Caulfield Lane extension, should the City Council choose to pursue the project at a later date.
• There is no construction obligation or commitment
associated with this action.
• If the City Council ultimately decides not to pursue the extension, the easement can be vacated.
