A Special Meeting of the .City Council was held in the Council Chamber, Pico Rivera City Hall, 6615 Passons; Boulevard, :Pico Rivera; California Mayor Garcia called the special meeting to order at 4: 00 p. m on behalf of the City Council

1. Resolution Ratifying and Declaring the Existence of a Local Emergency Arising from the March 13, 2025 EF-0 Tornado Eventin the City of Pico Rivera:
City Manager Carmona reported that the windstorm event that occurredkin _Pico -Rivera, on March 13, 2025, was classified by the National Weather Service as'an'EF-O tornado `.
He emphasized the necessity of :declaring a local emergency to :.p:ufsue ernergen y funding for both the City and potentially impacted residents. Additionallq;`h--e- rioted that City staff were on -site in The affectedarea. by 4:30 AM, and by 1 00 PM that .same=day;:
the area had been cleared and deemed safe for residents City -Councilmembers, commended City staff for their swift and organized: response to. the local emergency and for their support in assisting residents during -the incident.
Motion by Counciimember Lara, seconded by 'Mayor Pro Tem •Camacho to approve Resolution -No 7390 ratifying= and declaring the existence of a local emergency arising from:the :March -13, -2025, EF-0 Tornado Event:in the City of Pico Rivera: Motion carries:
