SUBJECT: Designation of Vice Mayor Jennifer Cavenaugh as Voting Delegate and Councilmember Conna McCarthy as Alternate for the League of California Cities 2022 Annual Conference
RECOMMENDATION:
By motion, designate Vice Mayor Jennifer Cavenaugh as the City of Piedmont’s voting delegate and Councilmember Conna McCarthy as alternate for the League of California Cities 2022 Annual Conference.
BACKGROUND:
The League of California Cities 2022 Annual Conference is scheduled for September 7-9, 2022.
An important part of the conference is the Annual Business Meeting. During this meeting, the League membership considers and takes action on resolutions that establish League policy.
In order to vote at this meeting, the City Council must designate a voting delegate and may appoint up to two alternates.
In 2022, Vice Mayor Cavenaugh is the Council’s liaison to the League of California Cities and Councilmember McCarthy is the alternate.
