SUBJECT: City Council Regular Meeting Calendar for Fiscal Year 2023-2024
RECOMMENDATION
Receive a calendar of scheduled City Council regular meeting dates for FY 2023-2024.
BACKGROUND
A calendar of meeting dates for the upcoming fiscal year has been prepared to assist with advance planning. The City Council regularly meets on the first and third Mondays of each month. If a holiday falls on one of these dates, the meeting is moved to the following day. The second meeting in August is presented as a summer recess.
The dates on the attached calendar were reviewed to avoid overlap with major holidays that may prevent community members from participating in the meetings. Dates which have been moved due to a holiday are highlighted in yellow.
Staff recommends pre-planning the start time of 5:00 p.m. for closed session and reserving the fourth Monday of each month in the event that a special meeting is necessary. This will allow for greater efficiency with logistics associated with meeting scheduling.
