City of Piedmont
COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
DATE: October 7, 2024
TO: Mayor and Council
FROM: Rosanna Bayon Moore, City Administrator
SUBJECT: Appointment to the Community Pool Advisory Committee
RECOMMENDATION
• Appoint a new member to the Community Pool Advisory Committee (PAC).
BACKGROUND
The City Council last conducted interviews for vacancies on City of Piedmont Commissions and Committees at a special meeting on March 23, 2024. Appointments to open seats had been advertised based on vacancies and term ending dates known at the time. Since the March meeting, Community Pool Advisory Committee Member Lynne Wright resigned from her position.
The City Council established the Community Pool Advisory Committee to offer advice in a number of key areas regarding the new facility. Once the Community Pool is constructed, the PAC will terminate.
No applications are currently on file for the PAC. Due to time constraints, a call for applications and Council interviews are not practical. Later this month, a series of PAC meetings are scheduled to commence. Efforts will focus on the development of the pool pass model. PAC recommendations will then be presented to the City Council for consideration and potential action.
