City Council Meeting Calendar for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-2026
RECOMMENDATION
Receive a calendar of scheduled City Council regular & potential special meeting dates for FY 2025-2026.
BACKGROUND
Staff prepared a calendar of meeting dates for the purposes of advance planning. Dates were reviewed to avoid overlap with major holidays. The second meeting in July is presented as a summer recess.
The City Council regularly meets on the first and third Mondays of each month at 6PM in Council Chambers. Staff recommends pre-planning a start time of 5PM for tentative closed session meetings and generally reserving the fourth Monday of each month for special meetings at 6PM.
A number of exceptions to special meeting dates are intentionally identified.
Three special meetings are proposed in the spring of 2026 to set aside time to address strategic planning and budget development topics.
