SUBJECT: Designation of Vice Mayor Conna McCarthy as Voting Delegate and Councilmember Jennifer Long as Alternate for the League of California Cities 2025 Annual Conference
RECOMMENDATION:
By motion, designate Vice Mayor Conna McCarthy as the City of Piedmont’s voting delegate, and Councilmember Jennifer Long as alternate for the League of California Cities 2025 Annual Conference.
BACKGROUND:
The League of California Cities 2025 Annual Conference is scheduled for October 8-10, 2025. An important part of the conference is the Annual Conference General Assembly. During the General Assembly, the League membership considers and takes action on resolutions that establish League policy.
To cast a vote during the General Assembly, the City Council must designate a voting delegate and up to two alternate voting delegates, one of whom may vote if the designated voting delegate is unable to serve in that capacity.
