Special Meeting Minutes for Monday, March 23, 2026
A Special Meeting of the Piedmont City Council was held on March 23, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., in the City Council Conference Room, 120 Vista Avenue. In accordance with Government Code Section 54957(b), the agenda for this meeting was posted for public inspection on March 19, 2026.
CALL TO ORDER Mayor Andersen called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL Present: Mayor Betsy Smegal Andersen, and Councilmembers Jennifer Long, Lorrel Plimier, and Tom Ramsey
Absent: Vice Mayor Conna McCarthy
Staff: City Administrator Rosanna Bayon Moore, Fire Chief Dave Brannigan.
Police Chief Frederick Shavies II, Finance Director Kiran Bawa, Recreation Director , Chelle Putzer, City Clerk Anna Brown
SPECIAL MEETING The Council considered the following items of business:
Interviews The Council interviewed applicants for vacancies on Commissions and Committees. There was no Public Testimony on this matter.
At the conclusion of the interviews and following deliberations, the Council reached unanimous consensus and directed the appointment of the following individuals to posted vacancies on City commissions and committees:
