SUBJECT: City Council Meeting Calendar for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-2027
RECOMMENDATION
Receive a calendar of scheduled City Council regular & potential special meeting dates for FY 2026-2027.
BACKGROUND
Staff prepared a calendar of meeting dates for the purposes of advance planning. Dates were reviewed to avoid overlap with major holidays. The first meeting in August is presented as a summer recess.
The City Council regularly meets on the first and third Mondays of each month at 6PM in Council Chambers. Staff recommends pre-planning a start time of 5PM for tentative closed session meetings and generally reserving the fourth Monday of each month for special meetings at 6PM.
Three special meetings are proposed in the winter and spring of 2027 to set aside time to address strategic planning and budget development topics.
